Wow, it’s been busy in the last month or so and only now just getting time to write the article for July! Being busy is always a good thing of course and it has been especially lovely because now that restrictions have eased many people can finally go ahead with the wonderful events and celebrations they have planned for so long.
This wedding has been two and a half years – not in the planning – in the waiting. It was cancelled twice due to Covid and then finally allowed to go ahead. I patiently made sure I kept in close contact with the couple at every point, through all the ups and downs, with reassurance that all would be well in the end and that we would make sure the flowers were exactly what they wanted, even if the original designs needed to be altered.
There are a lot of different formats for a wedding from corsage to bouquets, guest bouquets to table settings and I love making sure that everything follows the theme from design, ordering the flowers from the stockist, through making and then finally to delivery and installation. It’s important to me that everything is right and the happy couple is indeed happy!
They were so delighted that I had the pleasure of an invitation to the reception – as a guest, not a florist – quite emotional for us all.
